Dear Family and Friends,
This year has been a good year for the Andersons.
Jeremy loves his new job with FSX. And when we say love, we are not exaggerating. We thought for sure the honeymoon would end but after almost a year he still comes home with a smile on his face. He was just called as Young Men’s President and looks forward to working with the Young Men. As a family, we spent many days fishing at the river this summer, filled our freezer with beautiful salmon and ate a lot of smoked salmon. Yum! Jeremy also finished his time as Home Owner’s Association President for our large development. It was a great opportunity but he is glad to be done with it.
Christy is on her tenth year of home schooling. It is one of the best decisions she ever made. She loves learning with her children. She is still working on her fantasy novel. It has been 6 ½ years in the making and she loves writing more than ever. This summer Christy and the children spent many days down at her “parent’s river”J; it was so peaceful and relaxing that they couldn’t get enough. She is Visiting Teaching Coordinator and loves working behind the scenes with the ladies of the ward. She also froze enough raspberries to get her through Seattle’s dark winter. Painting and reading fill up her extra time.
Lindsey is 14 and going to seminary this year. She loves frogs, the color green, playing the piano, her iPod music and singing more than ever. She is still learning Japanese. A year or so ago, she heard her Great-Grandpa Brown talking about his WWII Marine experience and now is reading her 7th book on the subject. She loves church dances and got to attend Youth Conference this year. She has really taken off on her piano playing, adding 7 or 8 songs to her memory. She definitely embraces life.
Arielle is 12 and in Young Woman’s now. She loves horses, all the colors in the rainbow, and loves life. She is becoming quite a chef and spends lots of time helping Mom in the kitchen. She knows if a recipe is going to be good just by reading through it. She loves fishing with Dad and caught 30 Pink Salmon this year. She even likes to gut the fish. She continues to develop her drawing skills and constantly amazes us with her wildlife and fairy drawings. Arielle is always serving selflessly.
Nicole is 9 and more of a scientist than ever. She loves all creatures and critters – especially birds, and the colors blue and white. Last year she actually got to watch a little family of Chickadee’s make a nest, have babies and see the babies fly away. She is currently learning about the human body and shares with us all sorts of cool and crazy things about it. Nicole loves to help in the kitchen and bring food in from the garden to chop up. She is a forthright charmer.
Joseph is 5 and quite dashing. He loves cars and his train set. He loves fixing things and working with his tool bench. Joseph’s newest love is outer space and wants to learn about it all the time. Earlier this spring, he got up onto Mom’s lap and said, “Mommy, you’re so pretty.” It made him a little embarrassed but of course Christy loved it. He also brought in his first salmon this year, quite an amazing little man. He loves to dance a crazy dance and makes us all laugh. He is so easy going.
We rejoice this time of the year in the Christ child who came to this world to show us the way to live and return to Him someday. We pray that we can grow ever closer to His example that more of His peace and joy may fill our lives. May the joy of Christmas fill your hearts and lives this season.
Love,
The Andersons
